Parking At The Event:

North on Capitol Blvd to right on E St., go straight through yellow gate and cross over the Deschutes River bridge which takes you down into the old brewery truck lot. Parking opens at 12:30 p.m., closes at 9 p.m.

Cost for parking - $10 (cash only) Parking fees benefit Special Olympics

You will have a short 5 minute stroll from the parking lot to the event.

Brewfest Code of Conduct

The Tumwater Artesian Brewfest is dedicated to providing the best festival experience as we celebrate the history of brewing and distilling in Tumwater.  All event participants are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, courtesy and respect for others.  This applies to all attendees, brewers, exhibitors, performers, sponsors, vendors and staff.
We believe that our community is open and inviting for everyone.  We are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all – regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, political beliefs, ethnicity or religion.  We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination or violence in any form.

Intoxication or other signs of alcohol or substance impairment that results in irresponsible behavior will not be accepted.  Attendees who violate the code of conduct may be removed from the event and/or banned from attending future events at the discretion of the Parks and Recreation Director – Tumwater Municipal Code 12.32.055.

Prohibited Items and NEW Bag Policy

Brewfest Prohibited Items:

  • Pop up tents
  • Tables
  • Bottles, drinking glasses (water bottles okay)
  • Outside alcohol
  • No weapons, guns, firearms, knives of any size, stun guns/tazers, bats or poles
  • Backpacks
  • Martial arts weapons, night sticks, nunchucks, billy clubs or self defense sprays/mace/pepper
  • No dogs or pets (service dogs w/ADA certification allowed - emotional support animals are not allowed)

NEW BAG POLICY 
If necessary, attendees are permitted to bring:

  • One clear bag that does not exceed 14″w x 14″h x 6″d in size OR
  • One small clutch/purse/wallet that does not exceed 6″w x 9″h x 1.5″d in size

All bags are subject to search.

 

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

  • WHEN IS THE EVENT? Tumwater Artesian Brewfest will take place on the 3rd Saturday in August from 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., rain or shine.
  • WHERE DO I PARK? Parking is available in the Olympia Brewery parking lot, conveniently adjacent to the event site.
  • DO I HAVE TO PAY TO PARK? Yes. Event parking is $10, CASH ONLY. The good news is that parking proceeds benefit Thurston County Special Olympics.
  • WHERE DO I GET TICKETS? Right here on the Tumwater Artesian Brewfest website, through our Facebook page, or at the gate.
  • HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? (2024 prices) Price below reflects the TOTAL you will pay per ticket. NO added fees.

  • DO I HAVE TO PRINT MY TICKETS? Tickets can be printed OR you can provide the bar code on your phone at the front gate.
  • WHAT DOES MY TICKET INCLUDE? Entry to the festival, a commemorative taster glass, and 5 tasting tokens to use at over 40+ breweries (plus distilleries and cideries). Not to mention entertainment and games inside the festival!
  • CAN I PURCHASE ADDITIONAL DRINK TOKENS? Absolutely! Tokens can be purchased for $1.50 each within the event. CREDIT/DEBIT accepted. Sorry, NO cash accepted at the token tent.
  • IF I DECIDE NOT TO GO, CAN I GET A REFUND? Sorry, no. There are NO REFUNDS on Pre-Sale Tickets. Maybe one of your friends wants to go!
  • CAN I BRING MY KIDS? Sorry, no. Tumwater Artesian Brewfest is a 21 and over event. Every individual who wishes to enter the event must present a valid photo ID at the gate, per Liquor and Cannabis Control Board rules. 
  • OKAY NO KIDS BUT WHAT ABOUT MY DOG? Sorry, no. This is a 21 and over event for humans only. Pets are not allowed. Any service animals must be checked in at the front gate.
  • DO DESIGNATED DRIVERS AND VOLUNTEERS HAVE TO BE 21? Yep. We're sticklers about this one - Absolutely everyone at the event must be 21 and over. Designated drivers will receive free water, soda (or is that pop??), and probably even a high five!
  • DO YOU CHECK BAGS AT THE GATE? Yep, we do. Prohibited items include outside alcohol, weapons, pets of any kind (we've had to turn away snakes and chickens!), glassware (except water bottles), fireworks, infants (or anyone under 21). Unfortunately if you don't allow your bag to be checked, we cannot allow you to enter the event.  
  • WHAT KIND OF BAG CAN I BRING? Attendees are permitted to bring: One clear bag that does not exceed 14″w x 14″h x 6″d in size OR one small clutch/purse/wallet that does not exceed 4″w x 6″h x 1.5″d in size.
  • WILL IT BE HOT AND CROWDED? It may be a warm and sunny day but the beautiful 10-acre grass event site at the Tumwater Valley Golf Course is the perfect location for a craft beer festival. Tumwater Artesian Brewfest will provide tents for shade, as well as tables and chairs, and a misting tent or two. You may bring your own blanket to set out on the grass if you wish. 
  • WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO DO? There will be a number of activities, backyard games, and inflatable play equipment to keep you busy. We'll have musical entertainment as well!
  • CAN I BRING MY OWN BEER AND FOOD? Sorry, no. Beer, cider, soda, water, and some truly delicious food will all be available at the event. No outside food or beverages will be permitted. Exception: Is is important to stay hydrated. Attendees will be allowed to bring water into the event (though we will provide water inside the event as well).
  • IS THERE A SMOKING/VAPING AREA? Individuals who wish to smoke tobacco during the event are asked to relocate to the designated area on the outskirts of the event.
  • IS MARIJUANA ALLOWED IN THE SMOKING AREA? No. The use of marijuana (cannabis), marijuana paraphernalia (joints, edibles, pipes, bongs, etc.) or THS infused e-cigarettes will not be permitted with the event per Washington State Law.
  • PLEASE BE RESPONSIBLE. Tumwater Artesian Brewfest, participating breweries, wineries and cider makers have the right to refuse service to any individual who appears intoxicated. Such individuals will be asked to exchange their wristband, and be provided water. If an individual continues to be a problem, they will be asked to leave and will not receive a refund.
